Renumber Devices or Sockets

ConnectCAD > Drawing

Renumbering devices and sockets is useful when designing a new system with numbering that depends on the device and socket names. This command renumbers the Device Name or Socket Name and the Display Tag suffix. For existing systems, use caution when renumbering, since the associated cable numbers should match the cable numbers that have already been installed on site. Optionally, this command adds a custom prefix to the Device Name or Socket Name and/or the Display Tag.

To renumber selected devices or sockets in the drawing:

Select the devices or sockets to renumber. You cannot select a mixture of both.

Selected devices are renumbered in the order in which they were drawn.

Select the command.

The Labeling Options dialog box opens. Select either numeric or alphabetical labeling.
